Tell the cute ones they're smart, tell the smart ones they're cute
They hear the obvious all the time.

Some Philosophy Things
1) Internalize everything
"The first rule of leadership is EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT!"
2) Window Principal
The moment you realize something is out of place or needs to be down, you have a window to take care of it immediately, if you don't it will be forgotten
3) Touch it once
To ensure follow through, the moment you touch something to work on it, finish it and touch it only once.
4) If you are anything, be Pragmatic
We only have a limited amount of time on this Earth, we should value every second and every effort to make the most of that time.
5) Does it make you money? Does it make you Happy?
If it doesn't do either of these things, don't worry about it

What are you willing to give up to win a championship?
Are you willing to sacrifice your time?
Are you willing to sacrifice your body?
Are you willing to sacrifice shots?

What it means to be committed
All in= what can I do for the team, not what the team can do for me

Things I learned......
Players shouldn't make things personal like playing time and coaching, its just business.
Are players truly coachable? What is there attitude when told to change something?
Do they understand that you are trying to make them better.
Maturity vs Immaturity

true strategy
true strategy is not necessarily that you have followed preordained steps, instead its putting yourself in a position where you have more options than your opponent.

Elevate yourself above the battlefield
Tactics are what you do to fight the battle in the moment, reactionary
Strategy is what you do to achieve victory in the long term
by elevating yourself above the battlefield you allow yourself to make long term decisions strategically, knowing when to fight and when to run. Allowing you to reach your goals instead of just being reactionary.

How to be a Hero
Internalize everything, make it all your fault.
Don't allow yourself or anyone else to be a victim.
If the only thing you learn from some thing is "life isn't fair" then you need to try harder to find something you could do differently.

The Inverted U Curve
From Malcolm Gladwell's David and Goliath
at some point, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing
the affect of increasing income stops making people happier at about 75 grand
3 strikes your out only deters crime to a certain extent, criminals don't behave rationally.
at some point your efforts will have diminishing returns
The same efforts that made a difference at first will stop working at a certain point

Nick Offerman Book
Always retain the mentality of a student, this will save you from bitterness and keep you moving forward.
Make your life happy, and then auditions will become easy because you will have something nice to go back to if it doesn't work out.
