Shooting stuff



Watch them shoot around

Strap shooting

Chair shooting
            “picture of the perfect shot in your head, then match it to that person”
 
 
Then look at elbow

1)     ball must go straight
2)     Ball must have arc
3)     Must be able to repeat

Fix problems

Fix one thing at a time.

If you think about it, you never tell a kid how to fix there shot in a game, its HABITS

Stations
1) gun pull ups
2) targeting the tape
3) 3 on 3 no shots in the key
4) compact shots over plyobars with heavy ball
5) bands on wall then line shooting

Shotline expansion



Fthrow routine= no dribbles or any other movements, find needle point on ball place control finger on it, look at nothing but middle loop (Targeting) then shoot

Targeting= find middle loop and focus on it,  when shooting you must find ways to get your eyes on your target sooner

C position
Line is toe, knee, hip, elbow, shoulder wrist, control finger all to loop

3 sources of power in your shot= core, shoulder, handspeed

Band on guide hand= make shooter pull guide hand off earlier

C position= bending and preparing core

Ball in L to rep c to set point, add jump

Foam bar on ground to work on foot placement on jumpstop

Chair shooting= takes away core, force handspeed and shoulder pop
